Questions? We’ve got answers!

  1. How many people typically attend the conference?
    The main day of the conference (10/25) has nearly 800 attendees; meanwhile, pre-conference programming and the kick-off reception (10/24) each respectively have around 200 attendees or more, thereby bringing total conference attendance over two days to around 1,200.

  2. Are the pre-conference seminars/bus tour included in conference registration?
    No. Please register separately for a seminar or the bus tour. Seating is limited for programming on 10/24.

  3. Can I attend a pre-conference seminar and the bus tour?
    No. The pre-conference seminars and the bus tour occur concurrently; the bus tour is off-site.

  4. Is the Kick-Off Reception and Awards Reception included in conference registration?
    No. The reception/awards program on 10/24 is a separate low-cost ticket. The event takes place off-site near the hotel so capacity is limited.

  5. Are there exhibitors on the pre-conference day of the event (10/24)?
    No, there are only exhibitors on 10/25, the main day of the conference.

  6. How much is registration?
    Please consider becoming a member for significant savings.
    Early bird (members only): $350
    Member rate: $450
    Non-member rate: $575
    Government agency: $250

  7. When does the early bird rate expire?
    Tentative expiration date is July 31st (subject to change)

  8. How do I register?
    Registration is now open. Registration for the main day of the conference (10/25) is here. Registration for pre-conference programming on 10/24 is here.

  9. Where do I park at the hotel?
    Valet parking is strongly suggested. At the SCANPH registration table, pick up a coupon for a discounted valet rate of $20 (before $5 pm). Parking is also available at LA Live (find information here). Surrounding parking lots in the neighborhood are also available.

  10. Where does the conference take place?
    The JW Marriott at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles. Address here.

  11. What are the conference workshop tracks?
    You can find details about the 2019 tracks and the RFP here.

  12. Is there a room block?
    The room block has now sold out. But please consider these other hotel options that are across the street or on the same block, i.e. 5-7 min walk.

  13. What is the schedule and program overview?

  14. Do you share an attendee list?
    Yes. Roughly one to two weeks before the conference, an attendee list is shared with all registrants and it is posted on the SCANPH website. Please note that we do not share attendee emails to respect the privacy of our guests.

  15. What if I need to cancel? Do I get a refund?
    Please let us know as soon as possible by emailing jbrown@scanph.org and bmelchor@scanph.org to request it in writing or calling us at 213-480-1249. Cancellations after October 4th will not receive a refund.

  16. Can I substitute someone for my purchased ticket?
    Yes, please submit substitutions by October 7th to ensure name badge changes can be submitted in time to the printer. If you substitute on-site at the event, please visit Blanca at the registration table.

  17. Who do I talk to about sponsorship and/or exhibiting?
