2011 Unsung Heroes Award

Everyday, someone is doing something truly charitable somewhere in Los Angeles. It's an extraordinary act of charity involving unusual creativity and resourcefulness, requiring personal sacrifice or resources, or overcoming a seemingly insurmountable obstacle or opposition. They might be doing it alone or with others, but they're not doing it to get attention.
They're called the Unsung Heroes of Los Angeles, and we're looking for them.

Future of RDAs: Lobby Day May 24

Housing advocates anticipate that the Governor will again call for the elimination of redevelopment when a new budget plan is proposed after the "May revise" of State revenue projections. Housing CA is coordinating a Sacramento Lobby Day on Tuesday, May 24 to reinforce the critical importance of RDA housing funds, as well as advance several other pieces of legislation. Housers were a key part of a broad coalition that saved redevelopment from the last round of cuts. We can do it again! Please save the date and plan to meet with us in Sacramento.

Great News! Pause on Existing Projects Lifted
