The Southern California Association of Non-Profit Housing (SCANPH) is a regional, membership organization promoting the production, preservation and management of affordable housing.  Our roughly 500 organizational members are based primarily in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Riverside and San Bernardino counties and include non-profit housing developers, private businesses, property management companies, government agencies and social service organizations.

SB 391 Passes Senate Governance and Finance Committee

By approving SB 391 (DeSaulnier), the Senate Governance and Finance Committee today moved California closer to creating 29,000 new jobs and 10,000 new affordable homes each year. SB 391, the California Homes and Jobs Act of 2013 will get California building homes within reach of workers, helping businesses attract and retain the talent they need to keep California competitive.

Merritt Community Capital Corporation Helps Preserve Affordable Housing Properties in California

Merritt Community Capital Corp. has recently closed its $65 million Multi-Investor Fund XV, its second largest fund. Given the need to preserve existing units of affordable housing in California, there are, in Merritt's Fund XV, twelve acquisition rehab properties. As such, 702 units of affordable housing will be preserved statewide. Merritt's key developer partners in this current fund are Peoples' Self Help Housing, PEP Housing, Christian Church Homes of Northern California, EAH, Mercy Housing, Deep Green Housing, Housing Authority of Santa Clara County, Eden Housing, and Terra Corp.
