Housing California Provides Redevelopment Update

(from Shamus Roller of Housing California) Barring any action by the Legislature, redevelopment agencies will dissolve on February 1. While many of the details regarding dissolution are unclear, this result will undoubtedly make it more difficult to build homes for Californians of modest means.

Affordable Housing Advocates Await State Supreme Court Decision On Fate Of RDAs

(LOS ANGELES, CA) The Southern California Association of Non Profit Housing (SCANPH) and our members, representing the interests of 450 organizations and advocates engaged in affordable housing in the Southern California region, are awaiting the California Supreme Court’s decision on redevelopment agencies – which may occur as early as tomorrow, Thursday December 22, 2011.
