The California Housing Partnership Corporation (CHPC) invites SCANPH members to join a meeting of statewide leaders from housing authorities, tenant advocates and nonprofit organizations involved with public housing issues to discuss a new proposal by Barbara Sard from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities to enable housing authorities to gain access to new project-based vouchers in order to achieve 1 for 1 replacement of California's aging public housing stock.<

Many of you have heard the news and, if you haven't this letter is to inform you, that our Founder, Guiding Light, and President and CEO, Dr. DarEll T. Weist, retired as of the end of January from 1010 Development Corporation. "Out to pasture" as they say, or in his case, a chance to slow down and engage in some long deferred interests and projects. Fortunately, he will continue as a member of the Board of Directors.
