Pasadena, California (April 9, 2010) - Amalgamated Bank's Real Estate Finance Division recently renewed its long term commitment to supporting affordable housing initiatives in Los Angeles County.

The City of Glendale is seeking a Housing Advisor

Housing Advisor ($4,417 - $5,769 per month)

The City of Glendale is seeking a Housing Advisor to perform screening and assisted housing contract administration for tenants and owners under the Housing Authority's subsidized housing program.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years increasingly responsible work experience in the human services, public housing or property management field involving extensive public contact. Prior experience using Emphasys Elite software is highly desirable.

Los Angeles County Housing Innovation Fund (LACHIF)

The County of Los Angeles has partnered with three nonprofit organizations and two financial institutions to deliver $60 million of low cost, flexible capital for affordable rental homes for low income families and individuals.

The newly launched Los Angeles County Housing Innovation Fund (LACHIF) will provide loans to nonprofit and for-profit affordable and supportive housing developers to acquire land or existing properties. LACHIF loans can be up to 100% loan-to-value and carry interest-only payments for a term of up to three years.

They will focus on application processing and oversee the qualifying for each application in relation to city guidelines and requirements. This includes New Construction, Real Estate Owned Properties, A Brush with Kindness (ABWK) and any other opportunities we may offer. EXPERIENCE IN THE HOUSING INDUSTRY AND/OR MORTGAGE LENDING.
