Senator Boxer Cosponsors National Housing Trust Fund Bill

Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) has signed on as a cosponsor to S. 2523, the National Affordable Housing Trust Fund Act of 2008. This brings the total number of sponsors to 12, including lead sponsor Senator John Kerry (D-MA).

Now it's time to request Senator Feinstein support the legislation. Please download the sample letter and mail it today!

HOUSING LOS ANGELES TOWNHALL MEETINGS

This past July, in partnership with LA VOICE and more than 20 congregations, Housing LA co-sponsored a Town Hall forum with City Council President Eric Garcetti and Housing Deputy Mayor, Helmi Hisserich. More than 1,000 people attended the action urging the mayor's office and Garcetti to publicly commit their support for Housing LA's 3-Point-Plan. Due to the media attention and momentum generated from this action, LA Voice and Housing LA committed to hold similar town hall actions with key swing council members in late Fall and early 2008.
