Mercy Housing is requesting your presence to attend a round-table discussion to focus on the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Appropriation of the total $3.92 Billion nationwide, with an expeditious time-frame of 18-months for allocation, coupled with coupled economic trends necessitates a swift collaborative, strategic and comprehensive approach to address the foreclosure and abandonment needs of their individual communities.
During this round-table discussion, we would appreciate input on your jurisdictions and neighborhoods which are experiencing foreclosure blight, declining property values, vacancy, vandalism and/or other negative economic scenarios. This sharing of information and ideas will be informative to all attendees. Please present your ideas on how our team can address the issues and create positive, measurable impacts.
Mercy Housing, Inc. and its subsidiary Mercy Portfolio services, Inc., are providing this opportunity because our mission includes a focus on the stabilization of communities. Mercy Portfolio Services, Inc, (MPS) was created by Mercy Housing, Inc., a 26 year old organization which develops, owns, and operates for rent single family units and multi-family units throughout key markets in the United States, as well as developing or rehabbing for sale single family housing. MPS has created a model in which various NSP Grantees are establishing and utilizing a non-affiliated 501(c)(3) organization as an Asset Control Entity (ACE) for deployment of the NSP grant funds. ACE acquires its services and skill sets from MPS's local, regional, and national staff. We deliver a wide-variety of processes and associations to formulate sustainable and measurable solutions for the various local NSP strategies. In addition, utilizing MPS, allows for the local and regional housing resources to be better leveraged for communities to achieve positive and focused local impacts.
