Housing LA continues to gain momentumSubmitted by Robert Dhondrup on 13 Jun 2008 - 11:58am.![]() Councilmember Wendy Greuel Housing LA is very excited to announce that 3 more LA City Council members have signed the Housing LA-LA Voice housing pledge. The pledge commits council members to support the Housing LA 3-Point Plan and tenant education. On May 14th, Wendy Greuel (CD2) became the first councilmember from the valley to sign the pledge. And after hearing powerful testimony from LA Voice clergy and lay leaders on May 28th, council members Reyes and Rosendahl also signed the pledge. They join Jan Perry (CD9), Wesson (CD10), and Garcetti (CD13), who committed to the pledge last year. ![]() Councilmembers Rosendahl and Reyes Sign Housing LA's 3-Point Plan This brings to six the number of council members who have signed on to fight for tenant's education, mixed-income housing, identifying permanent revenue sources for the city's housing trust fund, and the preservation of existing affordable homes in LA. We are very energized by the momentum that is building among our elected officials, and we will carry this energy as we focus on passing a mandatory, city-wide mixed-income housing ordinance through council.
