Strong majority of voters in 13 of 15 L.A. City Council districts vote to support affordable housing Props 1C and H

The Southern California Association of Non-Profit Housing (SCANPH), representing over 450 affordable housing organizations and individuals, is pleased to announce that on November 7th voters across Los Angeles, in almost every City Council district, voted in strong majorities to approve Propositions 1C and H. This wave of support for both affordable housing bond measures demonstrates that voters want government at every level to fund more housing that people can afford. A total of 66.2% of L.A. voters voted to support Proposition 1C, the $2.85 billion state bond measure. Additionally, 62.2% of voters across the city supported Proposition H. LA’s citizens were not reluctant to vote for an activist government, demanding that more be done to address the city’s severe affordable housing shortage. According to voting tallies citywide, 13 out of the 15 city council districts voted either with "overwhelming support" or "strong majorities" for affordable housing.
