Organizations Description & Mission
Key Community Housing is a 501c3 Community Development Organization located in Alhambra California and serving 10 surrounding communities. Key Community Housing Mission is to create independent, empowering living environments for persons and families with developmental disabilities through affordable housing opportunities.

Qualification

The Housing Specialist position requires a minimum of two years experience in the field of affordable housing development or nonprofit support. This is a non-supervisory journeyman level position and designed to work under the general direction of the Housing Coordinator. The individual is expected to work independently and perform a wide range of housing, economic and community development duties; with a proven track record of performing technically difficult developmental analytical assignment reviews and administrative project loans or developmental contracts. The position may assume leadership over the development team and serve as team leader under the direction of the Housing Coordinator. The ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.

Essential Functions

The ability to self mange and assume responsibility for all clerical functions and respond promptly to all requests. Actively participate in fundraising activities, act as a professional community liaison and make formal presentations on behalf of the organization. Applicant must be capable of making recommendations and solving problems with above average computer skills and proficient in Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point & Outlook. Under the general direction of the Housing Coordinator manage the development of program goals as defined by the Board of Directors. Complete all task according to required deadlines, attend production meetings, and produce minutes.

Other Requirements

This position requires some travel, must have a valid California Driver License, reliable transportation and the appropriate insurance.

Willingness to travel and work irregular hours is required. Hourly rate is based upon experience and employer pays no benefits.
