Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) seeks Loan Specialist

Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) is a community development corporation serving Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

CEDC seeks a highly motivated, self-starter to assume the position of Loan Specialist (LS) to work in its CEDC NeighborWorks® HomeOwnership Center. Under the supervision of the HomeOwnership Program Director, the LS coordinates all facets of the homeownership programs.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the following areas: lending and credit analysis, structuring and deal underwriting in the real estate industry; experience or public speaking skills; ability to develop innovative products for a diverse borrower population; knowledge of and experience with public subsidy programs (CDBG, HOME, CHFA, AHP, NHSA) would be a plus.

Essential qualifications would include a combination of education or experience equivalent to the following: 1) 3 years experience in real estate, mortgage lending or real estate sales, California Department of Real Estate license required; 2) computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and loan origination applications; 3) excellent time management skills, flexibility, high degree of self-motivation, dedication, creativity and perseverance.
