Temporary Leasing Agent

Overview:

Temporary Leasing Agent needed to lease new TCAC properties and steward timely lease up schedule of affordable housing units in Santa Monica, California. This is a temporary fulltime position for approximately a twelve month term.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the  completion of leasing new TCAC units fulfilling all requirements per TCAC and MHP
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and relevant California statues or local rent control laws as they apply to occupancy
• Provide Excellent Customer service
• Help prepare for program audits
• Organize applicant files to ensure timely completion of all necessary material
• Contribute to team efforts and staff communication

Skills/Qualifications:

2 years experience with affordable housing leasing processes, TCAC certified and experience with programs requiring third party verifications. Proficient in Microsoft Word; knowledge of Access or YARDI a plus, but not necessary. Must be detail oriented, Energetic self starter, have excellent grasp of all basic math skills, be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, Excellent Written and Oral Communication, Knowledge of Fair Housing Rules and Regulations, Ability to monitor work flow, Ability to be extremely organized with paperwork, and Initiative to keep professional knowledge up to date as the regulatory requirements change.
