Affordable Housing Project Manager - LTSC CDC

The Little Tokyo Service Center CDC seeks a full-time Affordable Housing Project Manager, who will be responsible for managing several real estate development projects, including affordable housing and sometimes nonprofit service-related facilities such as community centers and recreational facilities. Many of LTSC's projects will be developed in partnership with other community-based nonprofits in communities throughout the greater Los Angeles area. The Project Manager will be responsible for all phases of development, including initial feasibility analyses, site analyses and acquisition, entitlements, financing applications and packaging, managing partnerships, managing the project team including the architect and consultants, overseeing construction and transitioning the project to our Asset and Property Management Department. The Project Manager will work under the supervision of the Real Estate Development Department Director. Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum of 2 years experience doing affordable housing development, including projects brought to completion; • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree; graduate degree in Urban Planning, Business or Real Estate or related field preferred; • Experience applying for and successfully securing LIHTC, HUD sources, HCD, HACOLA, LAHD, CRA and other financing sources; • Work well in a multi-cultural environment; • Strong initiative and ability to develop projects from the ground up; • Ability to manage several active projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines; • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; • Strong computer skills; •Experience managing relationships with political offices, public funding agencies, building & safety and planning departments, lenders in moving a project forward; • Desire to make a long-term commitment to this position and organization; • California drivers license and access to insured automobile; How to Apply: Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter to Erich Nakano, Deputy Director, at enakano@ltsc.org.
