GROUNDBREAKING
Skid Row Housing Trust is delighted to announce the New Genesis Apartments groundbreaking. The first turn of the soil marks the birth of the next evolution in the Trust's solution to homelessness. The New Genesis Apartments will combine permanent supportive housing for homeless and disabled men and women with commercial space for community retail.
The New Genesis will also generate hundreds of new jobs and save Los Angeles taxpayers millions in defrayed emergency services costs by ending homelessness for some of the most vulnerable men and women on the streets of downtown. Join us in celebrating this catalytic and beautiful new addition to the downtown community.
We hope you'll join the Trust, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa*, Los Angeles Councilwoman Jan Perry, the County Federation of Labor, the Community Redevelopment Agency and other community partners in celebration of this important milestone.
