Emerging in the early 1990s, the term's basic premise is that homeless and at-risk people and families are best served by moving into permanent housing, with comprehensive services provided to help them with the challenges they face in their lives after they have a permanent place to live, rather than housing them first in shelters or transitional housing as a prerequisite to moving into permanent housing. This will be series of meetings throughout the county seeking your feedback and input. All County residents in the unincorporated areas are invited to attend any public meeting held in each of the five Supervisorial Districts throughout the month of March 2008 to discuss proposed Green Building Ordinances. This is your chance to contribute your ideas and comments before staff presents recommendations to the Regional Planning Commission on May 7, 2008.
